Welcome to the 2022 Debtors Anonymous Australian Annual Convention gathering of D.A. and B.D.A. members and fellows. Even if you’re not a member of D.A. or B.D.A, you’re also welcome to attend.

This event, regarding finance, is within a 12 Step Fellowship context. It is notably different to a typical conference style event that features popular influencers, renown public speakers or thought leaders, as all attendees remain anonymous as part of our Fellowship.

Q. Where will this be held?

A. Online via Zoom.

Q. How can I join a session?

A. Everyone who registers will receive the Zoom link via email before the convention.

Q. When was it decided to be online?

A. After surveying the Fellowship with a survey link given to ISR's, the results informed the D.A. Australian Annual Convention staying online again this year.

Q. How is the event organised?

A. We have a series of 4 hour sessions which we call Gatherings. Each Gathering will have a focus, and will consist of 1 hour shares on a particular topic.

Q. How can I participate?

A. You are invited to attend, either ‘listen only’ or to speak.

Q. How can I be of service?

A. If you’re a member of DA or BDA, you’re welcome to volunteer and be of service in being a tech host for a session, or to speak on one of the panels. Look at the Topics page or whatever page is suitable.

Q. I’m new to DA. Can you tell me more?

A. Debtors Anonymous offers hope for people whose use of unsecured debt causes problems and suffering. We come to learn that compulsive debting is a spiritual problem with a spiritual solution, and we find relief by working the D.A. recovery program based on Twelve Step principles.

Q. How is this event different to other conference-style events?

A. Unlike conferences that feature renowned public speakers or popular influencers, all attendees remain anonymous as part of the DA Fellowship. The DA focus is on principles not on personalities.

Q. Will this be recorded?

A. No, the event will not be recorded.

Q. I'm in a timezone where I can't attend a session. What can I do?

A. We've intended to be as inclusive as possible, and timezones are tricky. Kudos to any Brits who attend the Abundance Gathering, and hats off for any people at the Plentiful Gathering from LA. We acknowledge this [Recovery] Event will not be recorded and timezones wont work for everyone, if that's so, please enjoy your sleep or something else instead.
