Research

Currently, I am working with Dr. Prabin Kumar Ashish, Asst. Professor, Department of Civil Engineering in IIT Kanpur.

My Research topic is heading towards sustainable pavement materials, especially modifications of asphalt using crumb rubber (CRMB).

CRMB possesses some serious concerns like high-temperature storage stability. However, it can be addressed through the surface activation of CRs. The microwave irradiation-based technique is promising, which is easier, cheaper, and can maintain uniformity. So, this approach may offer a potential solution that can be translated from the lab to the field for wider application.

Therefore, this study will examine how the microwave-based surface activation approach influences the CR-binder interaction process and contributes towards improving the rheological performance of the asphalt binder and corresponding mixture.

Previously, I have worked with Dr. Anuj Kishor Budhkar, Asst. Professor in IIEST, Shibpur during my masters. My research topic was related to the travel time reliability of the existing ferry services over the River Hooghly owned to the National Waterway-1.

Now, I am working with him on the travel time reliability of air transportation.
