ANIMAL HUSBANDRY INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT FUND

(AHIDF)

The Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) has been approved for incentivizing investments to establish (i) the dairy processing and value addition infrastructure, (ii) meat processing and value addition infrastructure and (iii) animal feed plant.

Eligible Projects:

(A) Dairy Processing:

  • Dairy Processing Unit with quality and hygienic milk processing facilities, packaging facilities or any other activities related to dairy processing

  • Ice Cream Unit

  • Cheese Manufacturing Unit

  • UHT Milk Processing with tetra packaging facilities

  • Flavored Milk Manufacturing Unit

  • Milk Powder Manufacturing Unit

  • Whey Powder Manufacturing Unit

  • Other milk products

(B) Meat Processing:

  • Meat Processing for sheep/goat/poultry/pig/buffalo

  • Large scale Integrated Meat Processing

  • Value added products e.g. Sausage, Nugget, Ham, Salami, Bacon, etc.

  • Meat Processing Plant should compulsorily include ETP, Micro-biological Testing Laboratory, Residue Testing Laboratory, Cold Storage

(C) Animal Feed Manufacturing Plant

  • Mini, Medium & Large Animal Feed Plant

  • Total Mixed Ration Block Making Unit

  • By-pass Protein Unit

  • Mineral Mixture Plant

  • Enrich Silage Making Unit

  • Animal Feed Testing Laboratory to be attached with feed plant


Government Budgetary Support: Budgetary support will be provided for interest subvention and credit guarantee fee.

  • Interest Subvention: All loans under this financing facility will have interest subvention of 3% per annum for a maximum period of 10 years including 2 years moratorium period.

  • There is no upper limit / lower limit of bank loan.

  • Credit Guarantee: Credit Guarantee Fund (managed by NABARD) will cover up to 25% of credit facility available to the borrower.


Application Process:

  • The applicant will submit the proposal with complete DPR through portal https://ahidf.udyamimitra.in/ to a preferred lender (i.e. Bank).

  • Then lender will examine the project / documents submitted by the applicant and complete their internal diligence process. Lender will report sanction & upload the sanction letter on the portal.

  • Ministry will approve Interest Subvention based on the sanction letter provided by lenders and will mark approval of same on portal.

  • After approval of ministry and compliance of terms and conditions mentioned in the sanction letter, lender will disburse the loan amount to the applicant.

Plan Documents by DAS Consultant: We work till commencement of commercial operations of business and render following services:

  • Detailed Project Report (DPR): This forms the basis for bank sanction and govt. incentives approval. We at DAS Consultant, prepare the DPR as per govt. guidelines & as per bank norms and take responsibility of liaison with bank.

  • Other documents: We suggest you to understand documents checklist as explained in govt. guidelines. Now-a-days emphasis is towards online submission of DPR and other documents to Bank. We at DAS Consultant complete architectural designs, civil construction cost estimate, machine quotations, utilities plan and other documents as explained in govt. guidelines.

  • Legal compliances: We at DAS Consultant, complete documents for legal compliances also. We have prepared one detailed list of legal compliances required along with job responsibilities clearly delegated between promoter & consultant. Normally legal compliances schedule is divided in four parts e.g. (i) Company Formation and Approvals needed during Initial & Company Formation stages. (ii) Certificates and lending norms needed during Bank Sanction (and Subsidy Sanction). (iii) Project implementation begins after bank sanction hence Approvals needed during Pre-Construction stages. (iv) Finally, Approvals needed during Post-Construction i.e. during the stage of Commencement of Commercial Operations of Business.
