DAS's provides support in getting access to simulation facilities with particular focus on Light and Ultralight Aviation.
Based on Flight Gear Flight Simulator,
the Open Source, Sophisticated and Professional Flight Simulator.
This video shows the first flight of the ProMecc-Freccia during an early stage of developemen. The 3D model is basic with only the fuselage, no painting, no cockpit, no animated surfaces. But the scenario is using satellite 4k orthophotos for the terrain of the area of East Cost of Salento in Puglia South of Italy between the cities of Otranto and Lecce. It shows the possibility to perform realistic Visual Flight Reference training and rehearsal almost every where in the world.
This video demonstrates a next step of the ProMecc Freccia implementation in Flight Gear Flight Simulator. Take off and land is performed at Galatina Airport (LIBN). Some improvements are: more detailed 3D model, engine sounds, propeller animation, external paint and flight model tuning with data derived from wind tunnel simulation.
