About me
I'm an evolutionary anthropologist and a science communicator. I've worked in natural history museums, excavated and prepared fossils, and written about human evolution for Massive Science and PBS Eons. I currently work for Complexly as the Editorial Director for Eons, Bizarre Beasts, and Journey to the Microcosmos. Previously, I taught in the Anthropology and English Departments at Rutgers University, and ran the social media accounts for the Center for Human Evolutionary Studies.

I received a BS in anthropology (with a minor in paleontology) from the University of Michigan in 2009 and a PhD in anthropology from Rutgers University in 2016.Â
