The Youth Festival serves as a vibrant platform for young individuals to showcase their talents and creativity. Organized annually by Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University, the event brings together students from various disciplines to participate in a wide range of competitions, including debate, elocution, skits, quizzes, and more.

Kalayatra 2023 :
Students from the Department of English actively participated in Kalayatra, a prelude to the Youth Festival that serves as a platform for creative expression. This event features a parade designed around the festival's theme, allowing participants to showcase their artistic and thematic interpretations. The department’s presentation focused on Nari Shakti Vandana (Salutation to Women's Power), emphasizing the strength, resilience, and contributions of women in society.
The participants extended their gratitude to the faculty for their continuous guidance and support throughout the event. Appreciation was also expressed for the efforts of those who contributed behind the scenes, particularly in organizing and documenting the parade, ensuring its success.
Youth Festival 2023 :
The 31st Manbhavan Yuvak Mahotsav, organized by MKBU, celebrated Nari Shakti Vandana with events showcasing women's empowerment. The festival began with Kalayatra, where the Department of English presented a model highlighting women's historical and contemporary struggles.
Students participated in various competitions, including skits, quizzes, folk dance, and artistic events. Notable performances included Mahamrityunjay, Christy Brown’s Biography, and Lokvadhy Vrundh. The festival concluded with the Department of English winning silver medals in poster making and rangoli, making it a memorable and enriching experience.

The Youth Festival begins each year with the Kalayatra competition, where colleges and departments showcase social themes through group performances. This year, the Department of English focused on the Condition of Education, highlighting the negative impact of social media, reels, TikTok, and substance abuse on students' academic growth.
The Kalayatra started from Shamaldas Arts College and concluded at Swaminarayan College, with various institutions addressing pressing social issues. Many colleges presented themes related to women's safety and the rising concerns about sexual violence, making the event a powerful reflection of contemporary challenges.

The Bhav Spandan Youth Festival 2024 began with the Kalayatra, where colleges presented themes like feminism, equality, and education. The Department of English highlighted the impact of social media and substance abuse on students. The event started at Shamaldas Arts College and ended at Swaminarayan Gurukul with vibrant garba performances.
The festival featured skits, mimicry, singing, and literary events addressing social issues. Despite not winning, the Department of English displayed teamwork and dedication, managing preparations and hosting literary competitions. The experience fostered unity and made the festival a memorable journey.
