This quote not only applies to a day but it also applies to life. Everyone has bad days but we allow ourselves to have bad days because at the end of the day we are in control of our emotions. So if you run the day you basically take control of yourself and your emotions but if you let the day run you then you let your surroundings affect your emotions.
