We understand that occasionally members will want to raid outside of the set guild raid nights. We do sometimes have members that raid regularly with another guild, or regular group/community, and that isn't a problem, as long as that particular character is not in our guild.
If you want to raid externally to the guild raid events, with a character in the guild, we'd request you respect these rules:
You're welcome to pug or semi-pug raids with a guild character, either solo or with up to 7 other characters in our guild. Any more than that, then any achievements/new boss kills will automatically be tracked as "guild" events and we don't want that to happen, so please avoid this.
Generally, current Tier raids are "restricted" raids. This means that the guild as a whole is still progressing through them, gaining guild boss kills and achievements together, during set pre-agreed raid days and times (Wednesday and Friday). Very occasionally additional raids will be organised as "one-offs" - perhaps when we're very close to killing a boss before an important reset day or if we want to organise a separate achievements run without impacting our normal progression runs. A "restricted" raid should only be organised by an officer or guild leader, unless by prior arrangement, and must abide by the same signup and loot rules as our usual raids.
You're welcome to raid with another guild or community very occasionally - for example if you're wanting to trial with them, however, if it becomes regular, we ask that you leave our guild with that character. We'd also ask that, if you are doing this, you ensure you do not use guild repairs or resources for this.
If you raid with another guild/community regularly, or are considering doing so, we ask that you do not try to "poach" our guild members. In my experience (and I've encountered this happen many times), it almost always fails long-term. People who leave a guild because they've been asked to join a different one usually do so because they feel that the new option is much better for them. Sometimes the things promised are genuine, sometimes they're not. But even when they are, often those people who move on regret it at some point. Not necessarily the moving on from their original guild, but often the joining of the new one, because it just doesn't turn out as they expected. I've seen successful poachers continue on with their new venture for several seasons before folding, but most times they're lucky if they last one. Running a guild is hard work and most people really don't want to do it. Which results in a slow decay.
