Dark Theme for ESPN: Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 17, 2026
Dark Theme for ESPN ("the extension") is an unofficial browser extension that changes the colors of pages on espn.com to a dark theme. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by ESPN.
Data we collect: none. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal or non-personal information. This includes browsing history, page content, keystrokes, location, identifiers, cookies and analytics.
How it works: The extension's code runs only on espn.com pages, entirely inside your browser. It reads the colors of elements on the page you're viewing and changes them to darker colors. Nothing it reads leaves your device, and it makes no network requests of its own.
Permissions: The extension requests no browser permissions beyond running its stylesheet and script on espn.com pages.
Third parties: The extension does not use third-party services, analytics or advertising. ESPN.com and the ads it shows have their own privacy policies, which this extension doesn't change.
Changes: If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
