After finishing my Degree and Master in Sports Science, I started to work at the Department of Physical Education and Sport and the Brain and Behavior Research Centre in the University of Granada, where I completed my PhD entitled “Executive functions, self-paced exercise and cycling performance". My main interest is to understand the cognitive and neural bases of exercise to bridge the (big) gap between Sport Science, Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. During the PhD, I have published several articles on this topic. You might also read my PhD dissertation, here, in OSF. Moreover, I am interested in meta research and the fight against doping from an applied point of view.
Since August 2025, I am working at the FernUni Schweiz (Switzerland).
I am a "believer" of Open Science (e.g., preregistration of studies, open access data), but it is not the only thing we could do better.
Apart from my research career, I love baking, running, cycling and filming, and then, many other things, but i keep my focus on these things to avoid multi-tasking.
