For such a trip, maintenance tools are the most important things to bring along followed by camping equipment, cameras, computers, clothes and food, Dararith said.
“I arrange my gears into five bags, two at the front and back and one in the middle,” he said.
Generally, these are bicycle kits, spare tubes for the tires, tents, hammocks, clothes, towels, drones, computers, legal documents, medicine, and some food.

Last year Tiv Dararith has cycled across six Asian countries Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore , raising more than $50,000 for Angkor Hospital for Children. Now, he is biking across Cambodia to promote the Kingdom’s rural sites using his newly-found passion for photography. The idea took shape in 2023, as Cambodia began recovering from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. His journey through Asia combined charity and tourism promotion, surpassing fundraising goals amidst challenges to raise money for AHC, under the title ‘South-East Asia Bike Tour — Cycling for Charity’.
