Welcome!

I am an Economist from County Clare, Ireland. I began my career in the Teagasc Rural Economy Research Centre, analysing the effectiveness of public policies that sought to increase renewable energy production

Following a secondment to the Irish Finance Ministry during the euro area sovereign debt crisis, my research focus shifted to International Macroeconomics. I have worked for the European Stability Mechanism, been a visitor at the European Central Bank and am now back at the Central Bank of Ireland. I am also an Adjunct Professor of Economics at the University of Limerick's Kemmy Business School and an Associate Editor for the The Economic and Social Review

I was the recipient of the 2018/19 Barrington Medal, which recognises promising new researchers in the economic and social sciences in Ireland. I have published my work in well-regarded field journals and a top general-interest journal, The Review of Economic Studies. I was selected for the 2020 Emerging Leaders Programme, co-hosted by the OECD  and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
