You are cordially invited to participate in Danville's Small Town Christmas Parade. You will share your entry with tons of friends, family, and people from our community. You will spread your cheer in a long-standing Danville tradition!
Space is limited to the number of parade entries. Submit your entry early as we can only take on so many entries. Applications are not a guarantee of entry.
We are looking for entries of all kinds from businesses, churches, clubs/organizations, community groups, schools, and more! We want to spread all the Christmas cheer! That means we need YOU to enter. We are looking for walking groups, dancing groups, traditional floats, interesting vehicles, equestrians, and non-traditional small floats.
Parade Entry Fee - FREE
There is no cost to become an entrant in the parade! Don't wait around, enter today!
Participants must check in at designated line up spots and check in at appropriate times. Emails to follow week of parade with more details.
Follow safety precautions, but not limited to... Licensed driver behind wheel, no burnouts/wheelies, no loose materials/sharp edges, no one may jump off of moving parts (i.e. float)
No candy throwing. You may pass it out, but no throwing. This can be a safety hazard to people trying to get candy and the participants. Please be respectul.
BE LOUD!! Blow horns, play music loud, rev engines, etc. We want to hear you! No being quiet allowed.
Be respectful of politics. No profanity, politcal campaigning, controversial messages, etc.
Animals must be under control and well trained. Groups with equestrian must clean up after themselves as the parade moves along. One handler per animal is required.
No weapons or imitations allowed under no circumstance unless it is a Danville or Boyle Co. Safety Officer.
Exit where asked to. Details will be sent ahead of time in an email with a suggested exit route.
