I am on the committee of London Maths Outreach. This is an organisation run mostly by PhD students, offering half-termly courses to state school students in London. Recent courses include Probability Theory, Knots and Generating Functions. Check out the website to sign up to the mailing list.Â
In 2024 I was a tutor at the Maths Beyond Limits camp in Poland. This is an international camp for highly talented school-age mathematicians, where I taught a course on Complex Analysis. MBL creates a warm community with a rich offering of social and mathematical activities; those interested can apply to be a participant or a tutor.
Throughout my time at Cambridge, I spent a lot of time working on outreach programmes that I benefitted from myself when I was in school. If you, or someone you know, is thinking about applying to Oxbridge for a maths (or maths adjacent) subject but don't feel that you have access to help with your application then do get in touch!
Broadly speaking, I would highly encourage people applying to study maths at university to take a look at Cambridge's STEP Support Programme and the problems appearing in UKMT competitions.
