Create a Google Site as described in the video (or if you look at the bottom of the page you will see a link saying "create a site"). Title the page and the website. Next write a brief paragraph letting us know who you are. Then add a photo in the same section of text.
Use this section two insert other items using the menu to the right. Write a few sentences explaining what you added and how you accomplished it.
In this section I chose the Embed URL tool. In my first attempt to embed Nikki Giovanni's website did not include a preview, so I went with the Wiipedia page instead. In the same section I used the Upload tool to include an image of Nikki from a recent visit to St. Louis.
Keep playing. Choose another Insert tool. I chose to use the YouTube embed tool. Also in this section us the palette to the left to change the background. In the actual website for the assignment you will want to maintain a consistent design, but here have some fun. While Google will automatically adjust text for readability, you should consider the interplay of you text with the background.
Create at least one other page. Just click on the pages tab to the right and click the plus page icon. You do not need to add content to these pages. If you check out the navigation at the top of the page you will see that I created pages title Resume and Family.
Publish the website by clicking the publish button at the top of the page and share the web address with the instructor.
