I'm Danon Brown, a marketing professional with a background that mixes a decade in film and television production with formal marketing training. That mix gives me a producer's instinct for deadlines and logistics, paired with a strategist's read on data and campaigns.
In 2025 I finished Seneca Polytechnic's Marketing Management Post-Graduate Certificate with a 4.0 GPA. I also hold Google's Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Professional Certificate and HubSpot's Inbound Marketing certification, which rounded out my training in digital strategy, SEO, and campaign analytics.
As Marketing Communications Coordinator at Golden Trekkers Africa, I ran campaigns across social, email, and digital channels. Over the course of the role, that work grew engagement by 45%, added 2,500 followers, and generated CA$75,000 in additional revenue. I followed that with a role as Digital Marketing Coordinator at Lighthouse Labs, where I managed content calendars, email automation, and performance tracking across social, blog, and email channels to support student enrollment.
More recently, I worked as a Go-to-Market Specialist at Steven Cardwell Search and Placement, where I built the firm's client acquisition system from scratch: a three-tier retainer pricing model, cold outreach sequencing in Lemlist, and AI-assisted prospect research in Clay.
Alongside that, I take on freelance marketing and brand strategy work, including paid social campaigns for a direct-to-consumer apparel client. One campaign reached over 26,000 unique users at a 10.34% click-through rate on an $0.08 cost per click, well above typical benchmarks for the category, and I've run additional campaigns spanning cold-traffic acquisition and retargeting, covering strategy, budget, targeting, and performance optimization from end to end.
My film background trained my eye for visual storytelling. My marketing training gave me the strategy and data to back it up. I like work that needs both.
