Through the relationship between Vanderbilt and the Tennessee Department of Health, I worked on a surveillance project. For this project, I developed a centralized and integrated surveillance system to reduce community partner reporting burdens, while capturing their treatment and prevention treatment and prevention activities. The slide show displays various visualization I generated to aid in depicting the surveillance structure in REDCap and the context of the HIV/STD surveillance and prevent in Tennessee.
In collaboration with three Vanderbilt Master students, we created an evaluation plan that uses a matched comparison study design to evaluate VMAC provider recruitment strategies. The current plan includes a SWOT analysis, Careholder analysis, Logic Model and Outcome and Process Evaluation questions. We hope to aid in VMAC reaching their goal of becoming a fully operational Alzheimers Research Disease Center. Future steps involved conducting educational intervention and mixed methods data collection.
Systems and Processes
Vanderbilt University- Office of Housing and Residential Experience.
As a graduate area coordinator and a member of the operations committee for the Housing and Residential Experience Department, I generated multiple tools and visuals to display the student experience, safety procedures, operational flow, and feedback. Such tools were made using a process map, surveys, system thinking diagrams, and standard pie and bar charts.
As an intern in the office of health equity, I created a One Pager for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, to display the impact of their 2017-2021 funding distribution to community partners. It displays the allocation of mini-grant funds across four Tennessee Counties. It also displays the marginalized and underserved communities impacted, the variety of needs met and the community partners awarded the funds.
During my time I also contributed to the data collection and analysis of needs assessment 2021-2023 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). CHNA's were made for three counties namely; Davidson, Rutherford and Williamson County.
Data Visualization and Poster Presentation
Tennessee Department of Health- Healthcare- Associated Infections
This poster was presented at Vanderbilt's 2023 MPH Practicum Colloquium. It portrays my practicum work at the Tennessee department of health, creating data visualizations of at risk population of Clostridiodes difficle. The poster highlights various demographics such as sex, age, race, ethnicity, treatment facility, and medications. It also displays the geographical hotspots of these at risk populations in Davidson County.
Vanderbilt University- Behavioral Science Coursework
In collaboration with three other Vanderbilt Masters Students, we created a Behavioral Science Presentation to display our comprehension and application of the self-determination Theory. This work was included to demonstrate more of my exposure to infectious diseases and collaborative work.
