House in my backyard
In 2024 my grandmother had a need to move closer to my family, we were faced with the choice of refitting a room in our house to fit her taste, a daunting prospect for everyone involved. As such me and my father decided to take a more reasonable approach and build a small, fully independent, house in our backyard. It all started with quick sketches, but this kept expanding in scope, from permitting, to foundation, to structure, to finish.
Architecture Abridged
Architecture Abridged is a series I made out of architecture finals and midterms. The stills shown here are from a project based on the Azuma House. Through the sheer power of spite about this house, I fully switched animation software in the middle of the video. It was a point of personal pride of mine that I ended up overshooting the requirements of the project.
Animation has always been something I have enjoyed and with a wealth of tools at my disposal, I can finally make any design or story I could write.
One Omnillion Dollars
One fine day, I entered a Magic The Gathering game with a few buddies, and lost in an extremely spectacular fashion. Utterly and totally annihilated. However, the showmanship on display in the defeat was so impressive, I went and animated a whole short about the loss and the disconnect between playing magic on an abstract, non-intimate level, and magic night with your friends. On a technical level, this was a first in a technique I experimented with to animate faces as 2d images over the 3d scene.
Game Development
At one point in time I was part of a team for an indie game. I ended up in charge of making the art and assets for the project. It still holds a special place in my heart as a fun project with my friends. The images featured are both concept art and finalized assets I worked on.
