Travelling in a motorhome is the best way to travel as far as I'm concerned!
--Voyer (1994)
This is our first motorhome, which we acquired in 1994: A 1984, 21 ft Vanguard on a GM G350 chassis. It was a workhorse that went many places with us. This picture was taken around Marble Canyon, Az in 1997. I sold it in 2001 to replace it with the rig below.
This one is a 1986, 24 ft Vanguard (again!) on a Ford E350 chassis. The engine was a pain to work on, but this motorhome had the power to pull our car on a dolly. This picture was taken in May 2004, in Ingram, TX. This was the start of a trip that took us through Arizona and Utah. Memories to last a lifetime!
This is my favorite picture from that trip, taken when Susan (my wife) and I hiked to Delicate Arch, at Arches National Park (Utah). I've done longer hikes, but this was the most spectacular ever!
This motorhome is a 2000, 28 ft Royal Classic Expedition which was purchased in October 2007. There's actually an enclosed rear bedroom with a queen size bed!
This picture was taken in 2008 in the Badlands of South Dakota where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play. The rugged landscape made for awesome hiking.
Camping in the Sahara desert?
Actually, that's Texas! In Spring 2012, we traveled down to Southwest Texas. Here at Monahans Sandhills State Park, the dunes dwarf our motorhome.
The Canadian desert?
In 2016, we decided to check out this vast country of ours. We discovered sand dunes in Manitoba, grasslands in Saskatchewan, cactus in Alberta and a love of kayaking in Ontario. Canada really is a diverse country that is worth exploring!
Our latest pride and joy!
This photo of our new 24 ft Thor Chateau was taken at Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan. It is smaller than our last motorhome but still has all the comforts of home plus it gets us into more places.
