I'm a 47 year old ex farrier, I started working for my family at 11 years old, and went straight into full time work at 16, when my father died, I went to work with my brother for a few years, when I was 24 I decided to go on my own, spending many years running my own business, it was only due to my body causing me problems that I decided to stop.

I managed to get work with an agency for Biffa at Redruth, unfortunately after working there for 13 months I had an injury at work and then got fired due to not being fit for purpose.

I've always been interested in welding and making items out of old horseshoes and now would like to make something a bit more permanent, so I came up with the idea of making ornaments and other items as a business, luckily I have connections with other Farriers so will be able to get a regular supply of old and new horseshoes.
