Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Tecnológico de Monterrey, a nonresident scholar at the Center for the United States and Mexico at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, and a research affiliate at the Collaborative for Econometrics and Integrated Development Studies, housed at the Kellog Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame.
My research focuses on education economics and on the intersection of applied industrial organization and development economics. More recently, I have also been studying crime-related topics in developing countries.
