I am a member of Maryland's Launch Years Task Force, a group run by the Maryland State Department of Education and supported by the Dana Center, whose goal is to revamp the K-12 math content, course structures, and general policies with current best practices. My work specifically is in the design of the new Integrated Math 1 and 2 courses, which will be graduation requirements for Maryland students going forward.
I volunteer with the Goucher Prison Education Partnership as a tutor. GPEP is an organization that runs a college degree granting program for incarcerated individuals in Maryland state prisons.
