Julian Theis, Harald Pfifer, and myself developed a fully automated landing control system for a benchmark aircraft model provided by AIRBUS. The developed control system answered an IFAC World Congress 2017 challenge set-up by ONERA and AIRBUS to develop fully automated landing systems for modern aircraft in case of strong side winds.
The benchmark model in Matlab/Simulink and the problem definition can be freely downloaded from ONERA's SMAC homepage.
A Simulink implementation of our developed landing controller can be found on the SMAC homepage. The controller is fully compatible with the benchmark model. The m-files to design and generate the landing controller can be downloaded here (Matlab and Control Toolbox required).
