Work Experience 

The Sustainable Living Project | Tampa, FL

Compost Farming Intern (Aug. 2024 - Dec. 2024)

• Audited purchases of merchandise sold at the University of South Florida's Winter Farmers Market.

• Demonstrated new volunteers every Saturday on how to prepare liquid fertilizer to water monstera plants. 

• Facilitated the removal of weeds from 28 plant beds, urban hydroponics greenhouse, and solar panel areas.

• Strengthened the relationship of garden visitors by welcoming positive language and active listening.

• Supervised sweeping and racking techniques along the walkable pathways for volunteers to collect debris.

• Maintained a vermicompost garden compost system of Red Wrigglers to Black Solider Flies.

Volunteer Experience

iNaturalist @ Entomology Society at USF | Tampa FL

Citizen Scientist (May 2023 - Dec. 2023)

• Created a project of 6+ Entomology Society at USF members to track insect populations worldwide.

• Photographed endemic and vulnerable insect species of Florida such as the Atala (Eumaeus atala) butterfly.

• Incorporated diverse community-based observations through location for research grade photos. 

University of South Florida Botanical Gardens | Tampa FL

Event Volunteer (Apr. 2022 - Oct. 2022)

• Prepared ground terrain to plant new meadow of native Florida wildflowers with a team of 4 volunteers.

• Disposed vines and branches debris from the butterfly garden habitat to clean-up from Hurricane Ian.

• Assisted garden visitors with informative answers of the USF greenhouse plants at the Spring Market.

• Operated a honey-stand business by selling sweet honey candy sticks, lip balm, and beeswax merchandise.
