I am a development economist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Economics and Political Science at the University of St. Gallen. Previously, I held research positions at WU Vienna, the International Security and Development Center (ISDC) Berlin and the Development Research Group at the University of Konstanz, where I completed my Ph.D. in Economics.
My research is at the intersection of applied microeconomics, development economics and political economy. Currently, I work on topics related to social norms, violent conflict, and labor economics. In my work, I combine theory with a natural experiment or a field experiment and use a combination of large-scale administrative records, spatial data, and household surveys.
