Hello, my name is Daniel Holmes. I'm an American, who has been living abroad for six and a half years. I've lived in Japan, China, and now Thailand. With this traveling lifestyle, I have been able to partner with artists from around the world.
The majority of my work is self-initiated. Its primary goal is to capture images of people in both their natural and surreal states of life. I find the most interesting backgrounds for my art in dreamscapes like oceans in a storm or cold abandon factories.
My work focuses on world events mixed in with my own personal troubles or ideas. As well as many philosophers I have read. Usually my paintings have a 'dark' feel, but the underlying meanings are positive in nature.
My style uses varied colors and textures to make my paintings more visually interesting. I also mix cubist compositions and surreal rhythms with bold, bright colors or complex designs. I am willing to do other types of work. I do have the experience to show I can work outside of my primary medium of painting. Such as posters, cards, and set designs.
I'm also a stand up comedian as well. I Started in 2018 in Atlanta G.A., U.S.A. I hope you enjoy my work!
