Welcome to my webpage!
I am Associate (Tenured) Professor of Economics, Chair of the Economics Department, and Vice-Dean for Economics at IE University School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs (SPEGA), Madrid. I am also a Research Fellow at IZA and academic director of the Master in Applied Economics at IE University.
I am an empirical microeconomist working on the economics of the family, gender, health, and public policy evaluation. I combine administrative data and large-scale survey data to analyze the impact of public policies on gender outcomes — with a particular focus on labor market behaviour, health, marriage, and fertility decisions. I am also interested in how policies and social contexts shape gender norms and their effect on marriage, fertility, and well-being.
