Daniel is a third-year MD/PhD student in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. He completed 2 years of medical school and is currently a first-year PhD student at the Department of Pathology. His clinical interests encompass adult and pediatric cardiology, neonatology, and endocrinology. His research interest is basic cardiovascular research with the intersection of epigenetic regulation and cellular metabolism.
Daniel earned dual B.A. with Honors in Molecular and Cell Biology and Public Health with a minor in Molecular Toxicology at the University of California, Berkeley. He previously worked at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in the laboratory of Matthew L. Springer where he researched the role of e-cigarette, cigarette, and marijuana use on the cardiovascular system.
