Research focus. A central theme of my work is family dynamics in macroeconomic models—how intra-family interactions both shape and respond to broader macroeconomic conditions and public policy. My research investigates mechanisms of informal insurance and intergenerational support, with applications to saving behavior, labor supply, housing and location choices, long-term care arrangements, health outcomes, and bequests. I combine dynamic modeling with empirical analysis to understand how household-level decisions aggregate into macroeconomic patterns and inform policy design.
