Hi,
I am Daniel Alejandro Martin, and I am a Ph.D. in Physics. I study the Brain and other complex systems using tools from Statistical Mechanics. I am always amazed by emergent properties that arise from the interaction of many (usually simple) units, from atoms to neurons. Most of my research experience is related to numerical simulations, although I have started some data analysis in the last few years.
I work at CEMSC3 (Center for Complex Systems & Brain Sciences), part of ICIFI (Institute of Physical Sciences). ICIFI is a double dependence center: it belongs to CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council) and also to UNSAM (National University of San Martin), Argentina.
I have a CONICET permanent researcher position (Category: Adjunto/Associate), and a Professor position from ECyT, UNSAM. Every year, I am in charge (together with Sabrina Camargo, Martin Belzunce, and Dante Chialvo) of the Computational Neuroscience courses. I run, together with Sabrina Camargo, the CoPhy lab.
