Daniela S.  Schoch

Assistant Professor at emlyon business school

I hold a PhD in management from LMU Munich. Prior to joining emlyon business school, I was a research and teaching assistant at the Institute for Finance and Banking at LMU Munich. I am an applied finance and management scholar, using particularly recent measurement techniques such as textual analysis. My research focuses on intersections between (corporate) finance, industrial organization, innovation, and strategy. 

Before starting my PhD, I worked as a student research and teaching assistant for several institutions and professors at LMU Munich and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. Supplementing my academic work, I gained work experience in economic consultancy related to antitrust issues and in a startup. 

Research interests: Data economy, Mergers and acquisitions, Industrial economics, Textual analysis and machine learning, Event studies, Economic policy, Law and economics
