Thai-Viet Dang is Associate Professor in Department of Mechatronic, School of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). He is currently head of Computer Vision and Autonomous Mobile Robot Laboratory (CVMR Lab). He received B.E degree (2001) and, M.S degree (2007) in Automatic Control from HUST, Vietnam. He received a Ph.D. degree with Control System (minor: Intelligent Control), College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National Central University (NCU), Taiwan (2012). Currently, he is a reviewer for dozens ISI/Scopus journal with their rank of Q1 and Q2. He hold Leading Editor of the Special Collection: Mobile Robot Path Planning Based on Intelligent Algorithms, at International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems (Sage Publications), in 2024. Furthermore, he is also a member of the Council of Asian Science Editor (CASE).
