This is a weird Au, so apologies if it is confusing. I'll try my best to clarify certain aspects of the story.

AU Overview:

More like GARDENVIEW!!!!

Deceased souls travel to a world past death, arriving in an odd place filled with bizarre cartoon characters. Once on the other side, these souls take the form of Regular Toons. Regular Toons have no memory of who they previously were. [Though they do remember their siblings]. The newly formed toons must ride an elevator through several floors, in an effort to reach the ✨Final Floor✨ [aka heaven]. Each floor presents a unique challenge that the toons must overcome. If a toon fails to overcome a challenge, they will lose their soul. Becoming no more than an unconscious empty husk. These floors are run by the Main Toons and their Handlers. Btw Main Toons [and Lethals] do not have souls, since they did not derive from a deceased being.

The only Main Toons with no Handlers to accompany them on a floor are the Seasonals [Like Bobette or Bassie]. Instead, the Seasonals operate in groups of four and manage their level together. The group consists of one Main Toon [For example, Gourdy] and three specially selected Regular Toons who reached the Final Floor [Eclipse, Soulvester, Ribecca]

What is Ichor in the Au?

Ichor is the life and blood of toons, but it also determines how much power or magical capabilities a toon has. The more Ichor, the more abilities a toon gets. Ichor originated from the deity known as Delilah, whose blood [aka Ichor] can literally create life itself. However, excessive amounts of ichor in a toon's bloodstream can lead to Ichor Poisoning, which causes a toon to become Twisted. Once a toon has become a Twisted, it can infect other toons with Ichor Poisoning--through the means of a bite [think of it like an infection]. Additionally, toons who lost their soul can still become a Twisted. However, they will simply be an empty suit for the Ichor to puppeteer. As the toon's physical body does not maintain its soul's consciousness. The only toons who are immune to Ichor Poisoning are Lethals, since they already contain large amounts of Ichor.

Twisteds

Unlike in-game, there are only three types of Twisteds:

Regular Twisteds
- - Derive from Regular Toons
  - Typically less dangerous, having fewer capabilities than Main characters and Lethals
  - "Turns" due to Ichor Poisoning

Main Character Twisteds
- - Derive from Main Character Toons
  - Have special abilities that Regular Toons lack; however, abilities vary from Main-to-Main
  - "Turns" due to Ichor Poisoning

Lethal Twisteds
- - Derive from Lethal Toons
  - Quite dangerous to be around, will absolutely bonk Toons to death if provoked.
  - Similar to Main Toons, Lethals have special abilities as well. Just to a more extreme extent. Once again, varying from Lethal-to-Lethal
  - "Turns" due to emotional instability [i.e. when they feel extreme rage, panic, or despair, they turn]

Note:

All Toons can recover from being a Twisted, through Surgery, Time Manipulation [rewinding their state to when they weren't a Twisted], or Ichor Manipulation [using ✨magic✨ to physically "YANK" the excess Ichor outta 'em].

This is what the overall map of Gardenview looks like. It will be adjusted later, but this is what I have drawn so far.

About The Floors

"Challenge Floors" act as obstacles that Regular Toons must overcome to reach heaven. Each challenge floor has its own hurdle, such as obtaining RESEARCH, assembling trinkets, or participating in a gameshow. Each challenge exists to help Gardenview maintain itself. As stated in the Overview, if a toon fails to overcome the challenge, they will lose their soul.

The "Introduction floor" is where Regular Toons first arrive once they cross over to Gardenview. The introduction floor is meant to welcome newcomers and inform them what awaits on further floors. This floor also presents a challenge, namely, baking goods. But it is more of a test challenge [for lack of a better term]. Meaning if a toon fails this challenge, there will be no major consequences.

The "Storage Floors" store items and necessary equipment needed for the floor above. Like spare tools, extra trinkets, the bodies of toons who lost their souls to the challenge, or additional ichor! Regular Toons are not typically brought to these floors; they are only for the most SPECIFIC personnel.

The "Break Floor" acts as a midpoint for toons to regain their composure- and get lunch.

"Heaven" also known as the Final Floor, is practically paradise. Regular Toons can relax, have tea parties, create book clubs, cope with PTSD, or even start working for Gardenview! It's all sunshine and rainbows up here...totally.

The spire leading to the Final Floor [aka Heaven] is equipped with four elevators. Meaning four runs can occur simultaneously.
Dandy's shop is located underneath the elevator; the mechanics of his shop can be seen above.
Dyle is responsible for moving the elevators up and down to ensure everytoon gets to their designated floor. In fact, he got a lil' camera inside the elevator so he can see what toons are up to. It has a lil' hat and tie :>

Characters currently in the Au

Lethal Toons

The first and only toons directly created by Delilah Keen & Arthur Walton.
Immune to Ichor Poisoning.
Responsible for running Gardenview and Heaven alongside their Handler when Delilah & Arthur are not present.
Can shapeshift / change into any appearance at will.
Do not have a soul.

Main Toons

Susceptible to Ichor Poisoning
Can shapeshift into their animal form [for instance, Sprout is based on a Poison Dart Frog, in turn, he can become a FrOg]
Responsible for managing their designated floor alongside their Handlers.
Do not have a soul.

Holiday/Seasonal Toons

Susceptible to Ichor Poisoning
Originated from the outside world.
These are Regular Toons who reached the Final Floor and were specially chosen to run a Challenge Floor alongside a group of four. This group of four is made up of three Regular Toons and one Main Toon [the leader of the group].
They have a soul.
Bobette, Bassie, and Gourdy are considered Holiday/Seasonal Toons. However, they are not included in this section for organisational purposes.

Regular Toons

Originated from the outside world.
If a Regular Toon reaches the Final Floor [Heaven], they may be able to work for Gardenview or fellow toons.
They have a soul.

- - Yes sir! As long as it lines up [relatively close] with the lore of the Au. However, Oc related still-art may not be shown on community posts. But I might add a dedicated section for Ocs in this document; I haven't yet decided.

"Where is -Insert Character Name-?"
- - I am still actively adding Toons/Handlers to the Au. I'm just a wee bit slow at drawing each of 'em. Likely, the character being referred to will appear in the Au at some point, but as of now, the stuff in this document is all I've got.
