The Dandenong and District Orchid Society was formed in 1992 for the community of Dandenong and adjoining districts for the information, education and enjoyment in cultivating and conservation of all species of Orchids.
We welcome all Orchid growers and those interested, from novices to experts, to join us in our informative friendly monthly meetings. There is a monthly newsletters to keep you updated on our regular and additional activities.
Guests are welcome and meetings are free, and there are also opportunities for members to buy or sell plants to each other or possibly win one in our monthly raffle.
Learn about the endless number of Orchid species and hybrids from our slide shows and expert guest speakers. Then finish off the night with a hot cuppa where a light supper is provided.
We meet every second Friday of the month at the Dandenong Show Grounds Committee Rooms Greaves Reserve off Bennett Street (Entry is opposite Attenborough St. along Show Place) at 7:30pm.
Benching of Orchids commences at 7pm and by 7:30pm for judging.
Members welcome from 6:30pm to assist with setting up.
