RecApp - Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the RecApp application (hereinafter “the Application”) collects, uses, and protects your data. By using the Application, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Definitions

User: any person using the Application.
Personal data: information allowing the direct or indirect identification of a user.
Videos / Images: files created or imported by the User.
Premium Version: paid version offering cloud storage.
Firebase: cloud service provided by Google, used for storage and authentication.

2. Data Collected

2.1 Camera usage

The Application uses the android.permission.CAMERA permission to allow recording videos directly from DanceVid.

2.2 Free version: local data only

For Users of the free version:

• Videos are stored exclusively on the User’s device.

• No personal data is collected or transmitted.

• RecApp does not send any files or information to any external server.

2.3 Premium version: cloud data via Firebase

For premium Users, RecApp uses Firebase Authentication and Firebase Storage, services provided by Google LLC.

Data used for the cloud service:

• Firebase Identifier (UID): required to associate videos with your account.

• Uploaded videos: stored in Firebase Storage.

• Minimal technical metadata: file name, size, upload date.

• Name and email address
  
  

RecApp does not collect:

• your phone number;

• biometric data;

• location data;

• detailed usage data.
  
  

Firebase may automatically collect certain technical data (e.g., device type, technical logs) solely for operational purposes.

3. Processing and Storage of Videos

3.1 Free version (local)

Videos remain on your device. You may delete or move them at any time.

3.2 Premium version (Firebase cloud)

Videos are uploaded to Firebase Storage, a secure service operated by Google.

• Transfers are encrypted via HTTPS.

• Only the User authenticated with Firebase Authentication can access their videos.

• The User may delete their cloud videos from within the Application.

RecApp does not access or analyze the content of the videos.

4. Data Sharing and Transmission

RecApp:

• does not sell any data;

• does not share any videos or personal data with third parties;

• does not disclose any information to advertisers;

• transmits data only to Firebase, solely for premium cloud storage.

Firebase does not share data with third parties except where legally required.

5. Security

DanceVid and Firebase implement several protections:

• encrypted communications (HTTPS);

• strict access policy tied to the User (UID);

• secure infrastructure managed by Google;

• Firebase Security Rules.

The User is responsible for:

• the security of their device (PIN, biometrics, encryption);

• the security of their premium account (password, email, etc.).
  
  

6. Advertising and Tracking

RecApp:

• displays no targeted advertising;

• uses no advertising SDKs;

• performs no behavioral tracking;

• enables no Firebase analytics collection without consent (Analytics is disabled by default).
  
  

7. User Rights

In accordance with the GDPR and applicable laws, premium Users may request:

• access to their Firebase-related data (UID, stored files);

• deletion of their cloud account;

• deletion of all their cloud videos.
  
  

Free Users do not generate any personal data stored by the Application.

8. Children

DanceVid may be used by any person legally permitted to do so. No sensitive data is collected.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Any modification will be indicated within the Application or on this page.
