Words

He kehau means the dew, Ho' o ma'e ma'e means it cleanses, and Ke aloha means with love.
So, taken together, these words mean Love is like a cleansing dew, with the underlying meaning of Love heals.
In Aloha, 'ha' represents breath, so Aloha implies shared breath, as in putting foreheads together in an intimate 'hello'. Aloha also translates as 'I greet from the deepest place within my breath'.

Movements

1. Facing a partner, raise arms up just above head height and lower them slowly, fingers flickering like a light mist.

2. Repeat these same motions.

3. Caress the aura of your partner as your hands are descending, giving out healing energy through your palms.

4. Repeat these same motions.

5. Place hands on partner's shoulders and bring foreheads together slowly, sharing breath.

6. Draw your head back for a glance.

7. Advance to your next partner with both hands palms up, moving out from the hip level toward the new partner. This is a gesture of giving from the center of gravity, in which the hula is rooted. This movement is flowing, with some hip sway.
