• Our program began over 45 years ago under Sandi McKissock.  Over the years we have taught dance to generations of families around the Shaler Area and surrounding school districts.  Since 2009, former students of Sandi's, Leanne LaSala and Laura Luksik, have directed and taught our program. We offer a variety of dance classes taught by our qualified staff.

Co-Director and teacher for Dance Showcase since 2009 and taught for Sandi’s Dance Showcase since 2001. She graduated with an Elementary Education degree from University of Pittsburgh where she was Dance Team captain and competed in cheer and dance national competitions.  In high school, she was Dance Team captain at Shaler Area and lead in several musicals.  She coached varsity cheerleading for West Allegheny High School for many years.  She also teaches, judges, and does administrative work for Elite Cheerleading Inc. Leanne attended Dance Masters Teacher Training School at Kent State and competed in dance and acrobatics for Sandi's Dance. Currently, Leanne assists with the University of Pittsburgh Cheer, Dance Team and Mascot Program. Leanne and her husband, Patrick are the parents of son, Mason and daughter, Gabriella. 

Co-Director and teacher for Dance Showcase since 2009 and taught for Sandi’s Dance Showcase since 2005.  She started dancing with Sandi McKissock at age 4 and continued to dance in her company throughout high school, competing in local competitions.  As a junior at Shaler Area High School she competed in the Dance Master’s of Pennsylvania Miss Teen Dance of PA competition.  She was a member and captain of the Shaler Area Dance Team and danced with SRU Dance Theater in college.  She also has experience performing in and choreographing local high school musicals.  She attended Slippery Rock University receiving a BS in Elementary Education and Minor in Dance and later completed a certification in Accounting from CCAC.  Laura currently works as the Financial Controller at Desmone Architects.  Laura and her husband, Kevin, are the parents of son, Jaxon and daughter, Isla. 

Started dancing at age 4 and twirling at age 6 and continued on through high school as a majorette for Shaler Area. This is Deana’s 8th year teaching baton and Mommy and Me.  She graduated from Bella Capelli Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner school.  Deana and her husband Zach were married May 2023 , and are the parents of their children, Lyla and Nico. Lyla now dances with Dance Showcase as well.

Danced for Dance Showcase for 15 years as a student focusing on ballet, pointe and lyrical.  She was a member of the Shaler Area Dance Team in high school and continued on as a member of the LaRoche College Dance Team.  Rita graduated from LaRoche with a B.A. in Journalism & Professional writing and minor in Literature, as well as received her certification in Human Resources Management in 2022.  She currently works as the Employee Experience & Benefits Coordinator at Main Digital LLC. This is her 8th year teaching with us. 

Administrative Assistant and Undercliff Volunteer Fire Company Dance Chairperson.  Tracey graduated with a Business Management degree from Robert Morris University.  She has spent her 35+ year professional career working in accounting, payment systems, and administrative management.  Tracey began volunteering with Dance Showcase in 2007 and Undercliff Volunteer Fire Company in 2021.  Tracey's cousins and their daughters have danced for Sandi, LeAnne, and Laura as well as Tracey's daughter, Kayleigh who also became an assistant teacher and continues to volunteer when able with Dance Showcase.  Tracey's husband, Eric, and son, Tom, are both firefighters with Undercliff Volunteer Fire Company.
