          Unarchiving Dance  through Interpreting Colonial Visual Cultures of Manipur, 1891-1949

My project 'Unarchiving Dance' examines indigenous performance cultures as captured by the colonial lens. The first phase of the archival research has received the BA - SRG and is on Manipur, and in time will examine performance cultures in relation to photographic and print cultures from the northeast region of India.
