Built as an offline-first application, Dan Auralis allows you to manage and play your personal music library without the need for account creation or constant internet connectivity. Our philosophy centers on keeping your data where it belongs on your device. Key Features & Privacy Commitment: Local Playback: We scan and organize your device's music files locally. Your personal files are never uploaded to our servers. Real-time Visualization: Our immersive visualizer uses the device's microphone input purely for real-time frequency analysis. No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. Party Sync Technology: A unique feature that uses local network and Bluetooth permissions to synchronize playback across nearby devices, facilitating a shared music experience without compromising your global privacy. Transparency: We only use third-party services (like AdMob for brief ads and LRCLib for fetching lyrics) to support the app’s free tier and enhance functionality, ensuring they only receive the minimum metadata required (like Song Title and Artist) to function.

User Privacy:

Your privacy is our priority. Unlike many modern media players, Dan Auralis Player is built around a "Privacy-First" architecture. Here is how we ensure your data stays yours:

• No Mandatory Account Creation: You are not required to provide an email address, phone number, or any personal identity information to use our app.

• Local Control of Data: Your music library, custom playlists, and playback history are stored exclusively on your device's internal storage or SD card. We do not have access to your personal files, nor do we host them on any external servers.

• Direct Device-to-Device Sharing (Party Sync): When using the chat and file-sharing features, all messages and files are sent directly between the connected devices. No communication data passes through or is stored on our servers.

• No Data Logging: We do not collect, read, or store your chat history or any shared files. Any data transmitted is stored only temporarily in the devices' memory for the purpose of the transfer.

• Minimal Data Footprint: We do not use persistent tracking identifiers to monitor your listening habits. Any data used for features like "Lyrics Fetching" or "Ad Serving" is strictly limited to the metadata needed to provide that service.

User Permission:

To provide a seamless and high-quality media experience, Dan Auralis Player requires certain permissions. We only request access to features that are essential for the app's functionality.

• Media & Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE):

  • Purpose: Essential for scanning your device to find and play your music, videos, display album artwork, and enabling you to share media with other users during a "Party Sync" session.

  • Our Promise: We only read files to play or share them for you; we never modify your original files without your explicit action (like editing tags), and we never upload them to our servers.

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO):

  • Purpose: Only used to power the real-time audio visualizer animations that dance to your music.

  • Our Promise: This permission is used for live frequency analysis only. We never record your voice or background conversations.

• Nearby Devices & Wi-Fi (NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE):

  • Purpose: Required for the "Party Sync" feature, allowing the app to discover and connect to other devices on your local network for synchronized playback.

  • Our Promise: These are used only for local device-to-device communication.

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS):

  • Purpose: To show playback controls (Play, Pause, Skip) in your notification drawer and on your lock screen.

• Background Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, WAKE_LOCK):

  • Purpose: Ensures that your music continues to play smoothly even when you leave the app or turn off your screen.

• Overlay / System Alert Window:

  • Purpose: Enables the Floating Video Player (Picture-in-Picture mode), allowing you to watch videos while using other apps.

• Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION):

  • Purpose: On some older Android versions, this is technically required by the system to scan for nearby Wi-Fi devices for Party Sync. We do not use this to track your physical location.

Child Privacy Policies:
Dan Auralis Player is not designed for, and does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from, anyone under the age of 13.

Our core philosophy as a local media player is to avoid collecting user data of any kind. However, if you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information (such as through a support email or by interacting with third-party ads), please contact us immediately at

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with any personal information, we will verify the claim and take immediate steps to delete that information from our records.
