Pefka Pass, Rhodes, Greece - 2021
My main research interests are taxonomy, systematics, palaeoenvironments, marine palaeoecology and biogeography.
I am passionate about the natural history of Mollusca, this very old clade of Metazoans that has conquered all environments, latitutes and altitudes. Fossil Mollusca are able to provide insights to past biodiversity and help us understand the current species distribution.
I have focused on the analysis of marine environments of the Mediterranean Neogene and Quaternary so far, and have recently started exploring the Caribbean (Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, Anguilla -- Lesser Antilles).
