Fox and Hound

Formed by Damen Browne, Fox and Hound is a band with no fixed members. It is comprised of friends who just love to play music. Fox and Hound is currently made up of Damen Browne, Ryan Murfield and Chris Neylan. From heart-wrenching ballads to belting blues, silky smooth reggae to groovin' funk, or twisting rock-n-roll to boot stomping bluegrass, each carefully crafted set includes originals and favourite covers. In the same way the members change, so does the style of music played, influenced by the musicians and their instruments. All of the members are encouraged to take a lead role and play solo songs, their own originals and bring their favourite covers to add to the set.

This flexible outfit can be booked as a full band, duo, or as simply Damen playing solo.

A little bit about the current members of Fox and Hound:

Damen (AKA Damo or Brownie) is an acoustic guitar-playing singer-songwriter from Australia. Formerly a professional touring musician, he has performed internationally as a soloist and as a member of bands. He plays a style of roots music with a whiff of Motown, having worked it into my own bluesy funk folk feel.

Ryan Murfield

Ryan is our bluegrass influence and eclectic expert on all musical frivolity from Nashville. Hailing from South Dakota, North America, he plays a running banjo and a sweet singing dobro guitar.

Vince Cee

Vince is all about the bass. Coming from North America, he adds rolling bass lines that sing from his 100 year old standup double bass. His plucking bass will transport you back the swing and rock dances halls of the 40's and 50's.
