If you want superior sound fidelity for music lovers who prioritize Hi-Res audio clarity and a luxurious, over-ear fit for long office sessions, choose DALI IO-12; if you need industry-leading battery life, a detachable boom mic for calls, and a hybrid driver setup for maximum versatility in a noisy environment, choose Noble Fokus Apollo Pro.
• DALI IO-12: Offers crystal-clear, distortion-free Hi-Fi sound with SMC technology and a plush leather design, but trades off slightly shorter battery life and lacks a dedicated boom microphone.
• Noble Fokus Apollo Pro: Delivers massive 80-hour battery life, hybrid drivers for punchy bass, and a detachable boom mic for clear voice work, though it omits the specific luxury leather finish of its competitor.
• The Verdict on Fit: The DALI is the pick for audiophiles who treat headphones as high-end speakers, while the Noble is the choice for professionals who demand all-day power and call clarity in an office setting.
The DALI IO-12 is engineered for the listener who refuses to compromise on sonic purity. This isn't just another pair of noise-canceling cans; it is a direct application of full-size loudspeaker engineering principles into a headphone form factor. The defining feature here is the patented Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) magnet system. The result is a sound profile that aims to be near distortion-free, bringing you closer to the reality of the recording. If you spend your day listening to complex orchestral pieces, jazz, or detailed vocal tracks, this level of transparency is exactly what you are looking for.
Comfort is another pillar of the DALI design, specifically tailored for extended wear during long office days. The specifications highlight a real leather headband and oversized square ear pads. These aren't just aesthetic choices; they suggest a build designed to distribute pressure evenly and minimize fatigue over hours of use. The enclosure material and the leather components signal a focus on luxury and durability that goes beyond the typical plastic construction found in many wireless competitors. You also get Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive support, ensuring that your wireless connection maintains high-quality audio transmission without sacrificing stability.

However, this product is not for everyone. While it features active noise cancellation, the primary draw is the sound quality rather than extreme isolation capabilities. Furthermore, the absence of a detachable boom microphone means that for users who rely heavily on hands-free communication in loud environments, the built-in microphone might feel like a compromise compared to a dedicated boom solution. The 35-hour battery life is solid, but it falls short of the marathon endurance offered by other modern contenders. If your workflow involves back-to-back video conferences where you need a physical mic arm to ensure your voice cuts through background noise, the DALI IO-12 might leave you wanting more practical utility.
The Noble Fokus Apollo Pro is built for the power user who demands longevity and adaptability from their audio gear. Its most striking specification is the hybrid dual-driver architecture per side, combining a 40mm dynamic driver with a 14.5mm planar magnetic driver. This coaxial arrangement is designed to deliver authoritative low-end punch while maintaining fast transient response and a natural soundstage. For someone working in an open-plan office or a busy coffee shop, this hybrid setup provides a rich, engaging sound that can handle both deep bass-heavy tracks and crisp vocals with equal competence. The inclusion of LDAC and aptX HD support further cements its position as a device capable of delivering lossless-quality wireless playback, appealing to those who care about the technical details of their audio stream.
What truly sets the Noble apart for professional use is the connectivity and microphone configuration. This makes it an ideal "best wireless headset for office" scenario where clear, intelligible voice transmission is non-negotiable. The integration of five onboard microphones alongside the ADI chip enables a robust hybrid active noise cancellation system rated up to -35dB, offering significant suppression of low-frequency drone often found in HVAC systems or airplane cabins. Additionally, the battery life is staggering: up to 80 hours with ANC off and 60 hours with it on. This eliminates the anxiety of running out of power mid-workday or during long flights.
This model is also defined by its aluminum alloy construction, which gives it a distinct industrial aesthetic compared to the leather-focused look of its rival. It includes a comprehensive set of accessories, such as a 3.5mm analog cable, an airplane adapter, and a compact EVA carrying case. The presence of multipoint connectivity allows seamless switching between devices, a critical feature for anyone juggling a laptop and a smartphone simultaneously. However, the design prioritizes function and durability over the specific soft-touch luxury of leather. If you prefer a matte, metallic finish that feels rugged and tech-forward, the Noble fits perfectly. But if you are seeking a warmer, more traditional luxury feel, the aluminum body might feel less inviting to the touch.
• Best for Battery Life → Noble Fokus Apollo Pro: With 60 to 80 hours of playtime, it dwarfs the 35-hour capacity of the DALI, making it perfect for multi-day trips or weeks of daily office use without charging.
• Best Sound Fidelity for Music → DALI IO-12: The SMC magnet technology and Hi-Res Audio certification offer a lower distortion profile that appeals to purists who want studio-quality sound reproduction.

• Best Transparency Mode → Noble Fokus Apollo Pro: The hybrid ANC system includes a superior transparency mode, allowing you to hear your surroundings clearly when needed without removing the headphones.
• Best Comfort for Long Sessions → DALI IO-12: The real leather headband and oversized square ear pads are specifically designed for extended comfort, likely reducing heat buildup better than synthetic alternatives.
• Best Value for Features → Noble Fokus Apollo Pro: Offering LDAC, multipoint connection, a boom mic, and 80-hour battery life, it packs more functional utilities into the package for a professional workflow.
• Best Design Aesthetic → DALI IO-12: If you prefer a classic, luxurious look with leather accents and a dark chocolate finish, the DALI offers a more traditional high-end feel.
• Best Durability & Ruggedness → Noble Fokus Apollo Pro: The aluminum alloy enclosure suggests a build that is resistant to dents and scratches, suitable for a more active or travel-heavy lifestyle.
In my opinion, I would buy the Noble Fokus Apollo Pro for my own office setup. While the DALI IO-12 produces arguably beautiful, distortion-free audio that sounds like a high-end speaker, the practical requirements of a modern workspace tilt the balance. The ability to detach a boom mic ensures my voice is always heard clearly during critical meetings, and the 60-hour battery life means I never have to think about charging until the end of the week. The hybrid driver setup provides a dynamic sound experience that keeps me engaged without fatigue. For anyone needing a best sleep headphones for office transition or a reliable tool for daily productivity, the functionality of the Noble outweighs the sonic purity of the DALI. Ultimately, the Noble is the smarter investment for a professional who needs a headset that works as hard as they do.
Yes, if your priority is pure, undistorted audio fidelity. The DALI uses SMC technology to reduce harmonic distortion, offering a Hi-Res certified experience that focuses on realism and clarity for music enthusiasts.
The Noble Fokus Apollo Pro wins decisively due to its detachable boom microphone with a mute switch, providing clearer voice pickup and better control in noisy office environments compared to the DALI's integrated mic.
The Noble Fokus Apollo Pro offers significantly longer endurance with up to 80 hours of playtime (ANC off) and 60 hours (ANC on), whereas the DALI IO-12 provides a respectable but shorter 35 hours of noise-canceling playback.
Both are designed for extended use, but the DALI IO-12 features a real leather headband and oversized square ear pads for a softer, more luxurious feel, while the Noble uses an ergonomic aluminum design with replaceable ear pads.
