Costo: Richard of Hollsopple died June 21, 2025, at home. Born August 11, 1936 in Johnstown the son of Louis and Bertha Marie (Burkett) Costo. Preceded in death by parents and wife Dorcas (Gindlesperger) Costo who died April 28, 2017, and sisters Carol and Donna. Survived by son Rick and wife Tammy, grandchildren Samantha, Anthony, and Owen, and Great grandchildren Bentley and Logan, Kane, Kai, and Sylar. Richard was a veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard. He retired as an Optician from Walmart Vision and Glasses. No viewing or services at his request. Interment Blough Mennonite Cemetery. Paulette Luther Meskaitis, 76, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at her residence. She was born on June 30, 1948, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Harry and Geneva (Hicks) Luther. Paulette graduated college in 1967 with a bachelors degree in accounting. Upon graduation, she served in the United States Army as a medic until 1969. On August 16, 1969, she married SSG Joseph Meskaitis in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She used her degree by working in several banks. While living in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, she served on the Family Action Council and was their president during her last year on the council. After Joes retirement in 1991, they moved to Mountain Home and Paulette worked several years for Baxter Medical Equipment. She enjoyed paper crafts and making stained glass artifacts.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Joe Meskaitis of the home; one daughter, Victoria Joy Devan (Phil) and two granddaughters, Sarah and Amelia Devan all of State College, Pennsylvania. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Gilliland and Lois English.Â
