Daksha is being developed by a collaboration of Indian institutes. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Mumbai, leads the mission, working closely with the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad; the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai; the Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bengaluru; and the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune.
Researchers and students from many more institutes across India contribute to Daksha’s science and technology, and the science team includes researchers from around the world.
Early development of Daksha was supported by a seed grant from the Space Science Programme Office of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), with additional direct and in-kind support from the partner institutes.
