DAKOTA SUMMER

Hi!

I am an independent filmmaker and multimedia creator originally from Cincinnati, but now based in Chicago. I'm new to the region, and I'm currently seeking opportunities as a set PA and hoping to work my way toward a 2nd or 1st AD position.

I studied at Northern Kentucky University and received my bachelor's degree in Electronic Media & Broadcasting in May 2026.

I am most experienced in producing, assistant directing, and editing. I have a background in directing, shooting, and editing a wide variety of commercial and narrative projects (see "Film" tab at the top of this page for a full portfolio).

I have a special interest in working on projects that contribute to non-profits or humanitarian efforts. I will prioritize participating in authentic storytelling and propelling film as an art form over profit-driven commercial projects.

I'm looking forward to what we do together!
