Coaches send out weekly emails/Hudl messages to families and athletes with an estimated time practices will end. In some circumstances, practice will extend beyond the estimated end time. Please communicate with your player on when they are ready to be picked up. One option some families use is to have their player text when they headed back to the locker room and almost ready to be picked up.
Weekly emails/Hudl messages will be sent to families and athletes. Please refer to these messages and encourage your athlete to communicate information they have been told with you. Of course, things can always change and will be communicated via TeamSnap. Please have your TeamSnap notifications turned on.
Please gently remove the name plate and have your player return to Coach Behrendsen ASAP.
Athletes are assigned or choose a locker for their equipmement during the season and they must have a lock for it. They are responsible for keeping all of their belongings together, put away and locked up. Athletes are tasked with keeping the locker room clean and when items are found, they are usually put in the lost-and-found bin in the locker room. Please encourage your athlete to manage their own belongings and to be respectful of others' as well.
No. These meetings are for current Dakota Ridge (JV/Varsity) athletes only.
No, but they are encouraged to attend any that they are able to.
During the season, weekly dinners are provided for JV and Varsity teams by a group of families. We recommend 2 or 3 families come together to host the dinner. Families will sign up for a dinner via sign up genius at the start of the season. Locations are determined by the hosting families. These dinners are for athletes, coaches and managers only.
Freshmen are invited to one team dinner with the JV/Varsity teams during homecoming week. This dinner is hosted by the End Zone and served in the Dakota Ridge cafeteria. Freshmen families may host additional team dinners for freshmen if they wish. Additionally, the end-of-season banquet for freshmen is planned by a committee of freshmen parents and generally held the week after their season has ended in the Dakota Ridge cafeteria. End Zone officers will support freshmen parents planning this banquet for athletes, coaches, and parents.
Not all schools have a designated freshmen team like Dakota Ridge does. They may have a C team which can combine freshmen, sophomores and juniors. There is always a chance our freshmen team will be playing a C team a few times a year.
No, this camp is only for sophomore, juniors and seniors.
Every other year, on the odd year, the Dakota Ridge JV/Varsity teams travel to Orlando in early September to play both a JV and Varsity game against a Florida high school team. The trip is planned and organized through KSA Events and they will start sharing information with families for the 2027 trip in January 2027. Reservations and initial payments for your athlete's trip are expected in late January/early February 2027. Parents, siblings and other family members are invited to join our JV and Varsity teams on the trip. It is highly encouraged to start planning for the trip regarding fundraising opportunities ahead of January 2027. Please consider the RaiseRight Fundraising app, football square fundraisers, salsa sales or calendar fundraisers for your athlete. Funds generated through these options go directly to your athlete! The 2027 freshmen will not go to Florida, the 2026 Freshmen will.
RaiseRight is a fundraising app. You create an account and buy e-gift cards or shop online through the site and earn percentage of each purchase. You can use that money to pay for things like your End Zone dues or Florida trip. You can start your account at any time and save your funds until you are ready to use them.
