Weeekly History
Weeekly is currently a 6 member girl group under Play M entertainment. They debuted with the title track 'Tag Me' in June 30,2020. Their predebut group names were PlayM Girls and Fave Girls. They're called the theater kids of Kpop because they used to have props for choreographies.
They were revealed to be a 7 member girl group under FAVE Ent. with the group name FAVEGIRLS in October 2018. The lineup back then consisted Soojin, Jiyoon, Monday, Soeun, Jaehee and 2 former members Kim Gaeun, Kim Haelin. In February 2019 Kakao M announced that FAVE Ent. and Play A Ent. would be merging. The company's new name was Play M Ent. and they changed the group name to PlayM Girls too. They added more girls to lineup after the merge and everyone except 7 Weeekly members couldn't make it to fianl lineup. In July-August 2019 former members Gaeun and Haelin left the group and the company. In October 2019 Zoa and Jihan joined the Play M girls and they become 7 members again. In April 2020 their stage names were revealed and finally in May 2020 the group name Weeekly was revealed too. On November 1, 2021, Play M Entertainment and Cre. Ker Entertainment merged and established a new agency, IST Entertainment. Jiyoon left the group on June 1st, 2022 due to mental health issues. At first Weeekly was under division 3 but after couple of months they were moved to division 2.
