Thank you very much for visiting Daichi Hayakawa's research web page.
Daichi is a 2nd-year Ph.D. student working on colloidal self-assembly with Dr.Benjamin Rogers at Brandeis University. He earned his undergraduate degree in Applied Physics at the University of Tokyo, where he studied the magnetic properties of thin metallic films with Dr. Chiba. Daichi also obtained his master’s degree in Applied Physics from the same institution, studying the dynamics of coalescing liquid droplets in the Sakai Lab.
His dream is to understand and apply the dynamics and functionality of biological systems.

Prof. Rogers and I visited Prof. Hirohide Saito and his student Sora Matsumoto at CiRA (Kyoto University) to discuss about phase separation of biomolecules. We look forward to further collaboration in the future!

We clarified the oscillatory behavior of microdroplets coalescing in mid-air, which was published in the Japanese Journal of Applied Physics.
滴々衝突時に誘起される振動から表面張力測定が可能であることを示した論文がJapanese Journal of Applied Physicsにてpublishされました。
