Rituals of empowerment II
What does it mean to empower a body? We understand empowering as the political inhabiting of the singular and the collective to de-colonize, re-appropriate and claim what is our own. Rituals of power are practices that make us vibrate and feel alive, everything that is harvested through joy enjoyment intensifies our bodies and enhances our creative force.
From a two month process we have put these ideas into practice, navigating different intensities through our bodies. This performance is the result of this collective creative process from 10 Latin American migrant women in Berlin.
From the intensification of our bodies on stage, we seek to empower the present in a movement of liberation and collective enjoyment, installing a critical inhabit of what is to be a Latin American female body and the celebration of its strength.
