Welcome! I have my PhD in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London. I am a Lecturer at the University of Surrey till September 2025. My research focus is on evaluating public policies and interventions targeting the welfare and integration of displaced populations affected by conflict and climate change, especially in settings with ethno-religious diversity. I am particularly interested in examining the impact of these policies on inequalities of access to resources.
Some research projects I worked on include:
The nationwide camp closure policy across Iraq and the welfare of conflict-displaced populations
Intervention targeting the livelihoods of climate-displaced women in Mosul
Integration of conflict-displaced populations in Erbil
I was previously a research assistant at the University of Oxford, working on conflict and displacement in Iraq and interviewing members of the Iraqi Parliament, local NGOs and leaders of various ethno-religious communities.
In 2022 I visited Université Paris-Dauphine in France as PhD researcher.
